Anyone read "How Far She Went"?

A short story, by Mary Hood? I had to read it for a Southern Lit class and made the mistake of reading it on my lunch hour. I had to close my office door for an hour from crying! I am an animal lover and honestly that story was just too much for me. I can’t force myself to watch Marlie and Me for pete’s sake!

I wish we had been given some warning that the death of the dog would happen. I have a little dog who is the only "child" I’ve known. And we lost another dog less than a year ago. More importantly I just don’t care for or support literature or media that involves animal cruelty. I’m pretty sure I’m being a big baby but do you think literature classes should come with any kinds of disclaimers regarding the potentially sensitive topics? Things like animal abuse, child abuse, the loss of a child, sexual assualt, etc. Or do you think we’re all adults and should keep the suspense and just deal with it?

How do you apply makeup without going overboard on eyeliner?
i have brown liquid eyeliner i put on everyday on my top lid, and i feel like the bottom of my eye is empty, does anyone know what i can use to make i eye look like it has eyeliner all around it.

btw my mom wont let me have black eyes…just a light, natural brown look

well its not healthy to use liquid on bottom (and not good either, it always messes up really fast) so you’d need a pencil. you could use a brown pencil.

and eyeliner all around is ugly unless your going out.

I would say to apply grey pencil on you waterline, but that might look funky with the brown. So try appplying a dark brown pencil liner to the bottom lashes. If your still unhappy than take a tiny eye liner brush, any color eyeshadow you like, and apply it to the lashline. Be careful not to get it too close to the inner tear duct as it can block and give you eye problems later on. Happy experimenting!

If You Just Get a regular brown eyeliner and Just barley put it on and get a bigger eyeliner for you upper lid the top lid will be more blended and you re bottom will be more bold. usually liquid eyeliners will make you’re eyes look crusty and clumpy. so using a regular eyeliner will bring more of a blended natural smokey look.. regular skinny eyeliners are 1$ and a bigger one is around 3$ to 6$ but its a great investment cause it last for awhile.

You don’t say how old you are, but I am going to assume you are old enough to be wearing make-up. I started wearing make-up when I was young, and I still wear it to this day. I think it is important though that you know you are beautiful without it. Don’t rush things. There are days I wish I could go to work without it, but I look pale or sick without it. People ask me if I feel ok. I wear eye liner because I have large eyes with pale eyelashes. I suggest trying a pencil on the inner lid of your bottom eyelid. It doesn’t stay long on me but maybe I haven’t found the right kind yet. Good luck. I hope your mom helps you so you don’t wind up looking over done. It is always great to have support from mom. Wear mascara on bottom and top lashes too. That helps work everything out.

Little Nemo: Theres the Pizza Planet truck and Luigi from Cars spotted when the fish are trying to cross the street at the end, Boy in Dentists office is reading the Incredibles comic, buzz lightyear is laying on the floor, and Mike from Monsters Inc. is swimming during the credits.
Wall-E: The arm of the litle statue things that wallE makes for Eve is the little lamp that jumps on the I in pixar at the beginning of all films, Hamm and Rex can be seen in wallEs junk.
Monsters Inc: Boo has toys of Jesse from Toy Story along with Nemo and the infamous ball with a star.
Cars: The birds from the short film are sitting on the power lines, at the end of the movie the cars are watching "Car" versions of A bugs life, toy story, and monsters inc.

I watched ‘Bolt’ a couple of days ago..and when Bolt tells the pigeons ‘Yes’ to there alien idea. ?

One of the pigeons go crazy and jump and dance around.
Then a different pigeon says to the one jumping around
‘Stop it, don’t ruin it again..remember what happened in Nemo?’

Then I just remember that the pigeon on it was the same one on Nemo! XD

i like both. chou tells the pain of someone who’s been killed by someone important to him or her. but it seems they want what happen to them. the one who got killed want to remaining to lived and moved on. and that she’s doing well, wherever she is. the second one named koe, i think is about two lovers. the other one will chase the another wherever he or she goes. the other one is gone. maybe he died the she’s still hoping that he would come back, even if it was just a illusion. and in the end. she stiil doesn’t want to let go, even if she’s already disapearing in her heart and mind.
